Our board is made up of a mix of elected student officers, appointed volunteer external trustees, and volunteer student trustees. This ensures a balance of lived experience, professional insight, and student voice.

Arab Community Representive

Being part of the Arab Community Committee and representing the School of Public and Allied Health has been a highlight of my year.

I’ve enjoyed every moment, not out of duty but from a true sense of belonging to JMSU and LJMU. It’s been a rewarding and memorable experience.

In my role, I feel I’m making an impact on students’ sense of belonging and overall wellbeing which is extremely rewarding. The staff are friendly, and passionate about creating and maintaining an enriching experience for all our students.

JMSU is a fun, supportive and forward-thinking place to work, and I enjoy being encouraged and empowered to think of new ways to boost student engagement as part of my role. 

Day to day here is fast paced, exciting and provides a great work-life balance. I am proud of the part I play in enhancing the student experience.

Being part of the JMSU team to represent my peers and their interests as one of the School Representatives for the LJMU School of Psychology this year has been highly rewarding personally and professionally. 

It has been the greatest privilege to work with students, JMSU and the School of Psychology to strive for an inclusive and nurturing environment valuing education at LJMU.
