We're looking for a compassionate, organised and confident Student Advisor to join our Voice & Support team and empower our students to Belong, be Heard and, to Thrive.
You'll provide independent, confidential advice to LJMU students, helping them understand their options and navigate university procedures including appeals, complaints, disciplinary matters and mitigating circumstances. You'll also support students experiencing complex or sensitive situations, making sure they are connected with the right specialist support where needed.
You'll manage your own caseload, support students through formal processes, develop useful guidance and resources, and identify themes from casework that can help improve services and strengthen the student voice.
We're looking for someone who:
Previous experience in higher education, a Students' Union or an advice setting is useful, but isn't essential.
If you enjoy helping people, making sense of complex situations and want your work to have a positive impact on students, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a part-time role averaging 21 hours per week. We work flexibly but are open to discussion about work patterns. Please note you will be required to work evenings and weekends on occasion to meet the needs of the service.
