Darts is a classic precision sport that’s all about focus, accuracy, and a cool head under pressure. Played individually or in teams, the goal is to hit specific targets on the dartboard to work your way down to zero — with a winning double to finish. It’s competitive, strategic, and surprisingly addictive.
Our Darts Club is open to everyone, whether you’ve never thrown a dart or you’re already hitting bullseyes. We play casually and competitively, with regular socials, tournaments, and chances to represent the uni in student leagues. It’s all about good vibes, great mates, and plenty of friendly rivalry.
Step up to the oche — it’s more than just a pub game, it’s a sport with serious style.
The LJMU Darts Society is a fun, friendly, and sociable club open to everyone—whether you’re a seasoned player or have never thrown a dart in your life. Darts is a classic indoor game that brings people together, and at LJMU, we aim to do just that. Each week, we meet up to play casual games, take part in tournaments, and enjoy the community vibe at Rileys in Liverpool. From friendly matches to competitive fixtures and off-the-board socials, this is a great way to unwind and meet new people during your time at university.
We meet every Monday at 7pm at Rileys Grand Central, Bolton Street, right in the heart of Liverpool. These sessions are a mix of friendly games and mini-tournaments for those who enjoy a bit of competition. In addition to our weekly meetups, we compete against other universities in the UDUK North West league, with home and away fixtures taking place on Wednesdays throughout the year. All key updates and announcements—whether it's fixtures, socials, or event changes—will be posted on our Instagram page, so be sure to follow us to stay in the loop.
We’re proud to be LJMU’s only darts society, offering a unique space for members to relax, compete, and connect. Whether you're looking to improve your skills or simply want to meet new people, our regular taster sessions and friendly atmosphere mean everyone can get involved from day one—even if you don’t know anyone yet. We were voted Best New Sports Team last year, and we’re only just getting started. With more members, we aim to grow the club further, introduce new events, and build on the positive environment we’ve created together. Joining LJMU Darts Society is more than just a weekly game—it's a community where everyone’s welcome and good times are guaranteed.
Each sports club is led by a student committee responsible for running the club, organising activities, and representing members. The committee is chaired by the Club Captain, with support from other elected roles.
