Manifesto in Full

Hi, I’m Josie and I’m running to be VP of Activities in 2026/2027. 

During my time in the role, I plan to do the following: 

Advocate for two dedicated officers for sports teams and societies - In practice this would effectively split the VP Activities role into two separate roles, allowing each side of the student union to have a fully committed officer. This would aid in prioritising their needs without the balancing act which has impacted both the officer and the student groups. 

Provide an Open Line – I will be more than happy to help with any assistance student groups require and will be dedicating a day for drop-in sessions so we can discuss anything in person for a faster response. 

Start "Josie Joins" – An initiative to cast a spotlight on student groups to give them all a chance to show off their events and promote themselves. I want to get stuck in and experience what each group specialises in and become familiar with every committee member to know how to best serve them and the student community.
