Manifesto in Full

Hi! I’m Izzy, an MA Literature student who is deeply concerned about intellectual integrity and the academic experience of all LJMU students!

I have consistently volunteered as a course representative and LitSoc committee member for over three years, winning the 2025 Outstanding Course Rep awards at the SEAs for my efforts.

Currently, I work as a support worker and academic notetaker for disabled students at LJMU, work as an events and communication assistant @ RILCH, and assist on a project regarding the provision of assistive technology at LJMU alongside my studies.

Here are my manifesto points which I aim to implement during my time as VP Education:

  1. Lecture Platform – Creating a platform whereby students can attend in-person or online lectures across faculties and obtain recognition for doing so. The future is interdisciplinary!

  1. Canvas Modules – Ensuring that students have access to online courses for sexual harassment awareness, maintaining a sustainable campus, mental health first aid, money advice and other key issues affecting students at LJMU.

  1. Book Trees – Introduce a circular economy of book trees across campus to assist with the cost of living crisis and improve sustainable recycling practices. If these are a success, who knows what other trees may grow!

Education is everything to me, and I dedicate my working and personal life to it every day. And, as shown above, I have the receipts to prove it!

If this sounds like the LJMU you want to see, vote IZZY for VP Education this March 😊
