The LJMU Unity Society was created with one clear goal: to bring students together. University can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you're adjusting to a new city, culture, or environment. That’s where we come in. We’re a society that celebrates people — from all backgrounds, courses, and walks of life — with a mission to build friendships and foster belonging across our student community. There are no expectations, no requirements, and no pressure — just a welcoming group of students who believe that kindness, connection and good company are what truly make a university experience memorable. Each society is led by a student committee responsible for running the society, organising activities, and representing its members. The committee is chaired by the Society President, with support from other elected roles.
