As a student myself, I know how challenging university life can be. From managing studies and finances to dealing with accommodation worries, safety concerns, and transport issues, these are real problems that affect everyday student life. As an international student, I also understand how difficult it can be to adjust to a new country, build a support network, and figure out systems that feel unfamiliar. Those experiences have shaped why I care so strongly about student wellbeing.
If elected, I want to focus on making support at LJMU more accessible and easier to navigate. I will work to improve communication between students and the University so concerns around accommodation, safety, and transport are taken seriously and acted on quickly. I have built effective processes and systems in organizations so I will use that experience to help create stronger connections between students in halls, commuters, and those who may feel isolated, so everyone has the chance to feel part of the LJMU community.
Having worked in team lead and managerial roles, I believe I have the ability and experience to work well in teams and be someone students can approach and trust. I will listen to their experiences and take appropriate actions. Using what I have learned from my own journey, I want to help build a safer, more supportive environment where every student feels welcome and valued.
