I’m standing for Vice President because I believe student activity and engagement shape our entire university experience. It’s not just about lectures and assignments. It’s about belonging, opportunities and growth outside the classroom as well.
If elected, I will support JMSU’s strategic direction while keeping student experience at the centre of every decision. I want to work closely with the CEO and union team to expand activity-based opportunities that genuinely reflect what students want, whether that’s sports, societies or new initiatives.
I will stay actively engaged with clubs, societies and student groups, not just during election season but consistently throughout the year. I want leaders of student groups to feel supported, heard and confident when raising concerns. I’m prepared to represent them in meetings with LJMU staff and senior leadership, ensuring their voices influence real decisions.
I also understand the responsibility that comes with overseeing democratic processes, budgets and governance. Transparency and fairness will always be my priority. From supporting Fresher’s Fair to encouraging wider participation in student activities, I want every student to feel there is something here for them.
Having already worked in representative roles, and previously as a Student Placement Coordinator, I’m comfortable taking responsibility, sitting on committees and handling formal processes when required. Most importantly, I will be visible, approachable and proactive.
This role is about energy, accountability and representation. If trusted with your vote, I will work hard to strengthen student life and make our university community more connected, inclusive and active.
Voting begins on 23rd March at 9:00 AM. To vote, you must be signed in to the JMSU website and can cast your vote directly via the candidate pages once voting opens.
