Ygam Volunteer Student Ambassador

We are looking for UK university students to join our volunteer Student Ambassadors team where they'll be the voice of UK university students, shaping Ygams work and raising awareness to peers of how gaming and gambling harms can impact on students.

You'll be working with a group of likeminded students from different universities across the UK on collaborate and independent projects.

The role is flexible, with most of the role being carried out independently, in the students own time. There is a set weekly meeting to attend on Tuesdays 4-5pm, ran via Teams.

Key responsibilities

Role Description: • Support with content development e.g., training content reviews/social media/writing blogs. • Organise and attend university campus events and/or training delivery sessions where possible to support the USE team’s university engagement and campaigns • Engage with fellow students to raise awareness about the risks associated with gaming and gambling. • Build relationships with key university contacts to raise awareness of gaming and gambling harms and to support future partnerships with the USE programme. • Advise Ygam on key areas where the student voice is being lost and provide insight and understanding from a student perspective to help inform Ygam’s work and ensure it remains relevant and impactful.
