Where Art Meets Action

What started in a classroom has grown into a movement for change. Afloat began as a partnership project with Asylum Link Merseyside, with a mission to use the power of the arts to educate, ignite conversation, and foster deep connections within communities. At its heart, Afloat is about co-creation, arts made by the community, for the community. We believe in breaking down barriers and reshaping the creative industry to be more diverse, equal, and inclusive.

Our work isn’t just about artistic expression; it’s about bold creativity that challenges norms, sparks change, and drives social transformation. Through collaboration, we create a space where every voice is valued, and individuals are empowered to share their unique stories. Afloat is about thriving, not just surviving. We help communities tap into their creative potential, cultivating a sense of belonging and opportunity. Here, everyone has the chance to grow in a space that encourages creativity, dialogue, and connection.

Our Mission ; we focus on thought-provoking theatre and community engagement, we quietly fuel change by bringing attention to difficult conversations that are hard to have around current climate issues. Our tools are our art.  

Our Vision ; We encourage communities to voice what concerns them through the arts to create positive social change within individuals and the communities we live in. We work with communities who may experience barriers to the arts.
