Student Events & Fundraising Volunteer

Details Hide[-]

Afloat Theatre is looking for creative, enthusiastic students who want to gain hands-on experience in event management and fundraising.

You'll be part of a small student volunteer team helping us develop and run events that support Afloat's creative community work. This could include fundraising events, student socials, creative showcases, music events, workshops or completely new ideas you bring to us.

You don't need previous event management or fundraising experience. We're looking for people who are reliable, organised, creative and willing to get stuck in.

You could get involved in:

  • Developing new event and fundraising ideas.
  • Planning budgets and fundraising targets.
  • Finding venues and working out event logistics.
  • Promoting events through social media and university networks.
  • Supporting ticket sales and audience engagement.
  • Approaching potential supporters or partners.
  • Organising performers, activities or volunteers.
  • Reviewing what worked and developing future events.

This is an opportunity to take ownership. If you have an idea for an event, we'd love to hear it. You’ll be supported by the Afloat team while gaining practical experience that you can take into future creative, events, charity or business roles.
