A safe, inclusive campus for everyone

JMSU is committed to making our campus a safe, inclusive space for everyone, and Islamophobia Awareness Month is a vital part of that.
This campaign isn't just about raising awareness for one month. It's about creating lasting change on campus and in the wider community. Let's come together to challenge stereotypes, tackle Islamophobia and build a more inclusive environment for all.

How we raise awareness

Our events highlight the impact of Islamophobia and explore how we can tackle it together, including:
Exhibitions Workshops Student insight sessions
Our commitment

Making IAM more than a month

How we're keeping the work going all year round.

Amplifying voices

We'll keep using feedback from our insight sessions with Muslim students to guide meaningful improvements to their experience on campus.

Continuous education

We'll offer ongoing resources, like the ones on this page, so students and staff can easily learn about Islamophobia and allyship.

Visibility and inclusive programming

Working with students and staff, we'll recognise key holidays and celebrations in the Islamic faith and build them into our calendar of events.
