The True Crime Society is a dynamic and engaging community for anyone fascinated by the

dark, mysterious, and often chilling world of crime. Whether you’re captivated by forensic science, intrigued by unsolved mysteries, or simply love piecing together clues like a real-life detective, this society provides a unique space to explore your passion alongside like-minded peers. It’s about diving deep into the stories behind the headlines, discussing psychological profiles, and enjoying interactive activities that bring these gripping tales to life — all while building friendships and having fun.

About Us

If you find yourself binge-watching murder documentaries, dissecting CSI episodes, or obsessively following cold cases online, then the True Crime Society is your perfect fit. Our members share a genuine passion for understanding the complexities of crime, from the psychology of serial killers to the latest forensic breakthroughs. More than just discussions, we offer a variety of weekly sessions where you can engage in lively case swaps, theorize about unsolved mysteries, and take part in immersive murder mystery game nights complete with food and drinks. Beyond that, we foster a supportive environment where you can meet fellow enthusiasts, share your ideas, and enjoy social events both sober and lively. Plus, we’re excited to plan field trips to escape rooms and notable locations around Liverpool, making your true crime experience even more memorable.

Key Information

The True Crime Society meets once a week in the Student Life Building, providing a consistent space to gather and dive into new cases and activities. Alongside these regular meetings, we organize socials later in the week, ranging from casual hangouts to themed nights. These events are promoted via our social channels and emails, ensuring you never miss a chance to get involved. Whether you’re here to share your latest theory, enjoy a documentary screening, or just connect with other crime buffs, the society’s schedule is designed to fit a variety of interests and time commitments.

Why Us?

Joining the True Crime Society means becoming part of a passionate community where your curiosity and love for crime stories are celebrated and encouraged. While the group is a natural fit for students studying forensics, criminology, psychology, or law enforcement, it warmly welcomes anyone intrigued by true crime regardless of their course. It’s an opportunity to sharpen your analytical skills, hear diverse perspectives on complex cases, and participate in activities that bring these stories to life. With free membership, weekly meetings, and a mix of social and educational events, it’s the ideal way to make friends, challenge your mind, and immerse yourself in a world full of mystery and suspense.
