About Our Group

Welcome to the page of LJMU Women's Rugby Union team. Our team is all about having fun, getting muddy, making friends for life, and playing the sport we love.

We welcome all types of abilities from having never touched an odd-shaped ball to being a Jonny Wilkinson. We have one team and currently play in BUCS Northern League 3A.

Key Information (When, Where and How Often We Meet)

We train on a Monday evening (2022/23 season times to be confirmed) at Birkenhead Park RFC and meet beforehand at Liverpool Lime Street Station so we all travel together as a group. We play in the BUCS league on Wednesday afternoons and organise strength and conditioning training to fit around work and University schedules.

We have official socials every Wednesday, where our lovely social secs organise and plan different themes and events for us to take part in. Don't worry if you don't drink; there's something for everyone!

We work closely with the SU and the RFU to ensure we can have the best experience and stay safe but also have fun at the same time. We always make sure above everything health and safety is our priority; in games and on nights out as well!
