Primates and Pipettes is a welcoming, vibrant space for all biology students from any course, dedicated to providing a safe and reliable space to study. Holding weekly study sessions, it provides a comfortable space to study, chat and meet like-minded students, and giving you a community of your peers to lean on whilst at university!
Primates and Pipettes is a biology-based study space ensuring a quiet and comfortable environment with like-minded students. We aim to create a positive environment between all biology students, with the opportunity to meet other individuals who have similar interests and grow your knowledge at the same time! We utilise booking private rooms and quiet study spaces to ensure that even during busy seasons, there is always a reliable and comfortable space for biologists to study and thrive in their academics!
We will provide weekly study sessions located in the SLB, catered to what students wish for. During exam periods, these will be increased to ensure that students feel prepared and motivated. We aim to provide tailored sessions depending on what students wish for, such as presentation practice sessions, statistics-based sessions with peer’s help, silent study and more!
You should join Primates and Pipettes because we believe studying should be a calm and welcoming space, and we strive to ensure that is available all year round! We believe studying alongside fellow Biologists helps provide a confidence boost, opportunities to communicate with others, and a community to lean on who understands your studies!
Each society is led by a student committee responsible for running the society, organising activities, and representing its members. The committee is chaired by the Society President, with support from other elected roles.
