About Us

Welcome to Piltdown!

  • We are a society that is dedicated to providing an inclusive and fun environment for students studying Forensic Anthropology and Human Evolution and Behaviour at undergraduate level
  • We also welcome people studying on similar post-graduate courses, as well as students on L3 who plan on joining the FAN/HEB courses at L4!
  • We include both students and faculty members, providing an informal and entertaining environment for both

Event info

We meet every month or two at the Ship and Mitre Pub for an organised event! However we plan to organise informal events like:

  • Revision sessions
  • Movie nights
  • Quiz nights

Updates on events will be posted on this page and on the Piltdown Instagram, so give us a follow!

We also have a display board on the 4th floor in James Parsons Tower where posters and info will be put up

Why Should You Join Us?

Entering into our community will provide you with a comfortable space to escape your lectures with your coursemates. By coming to our events you can get to know others on your course outside of Uni, as well as students in other years. Staff members are very much involved with events too so there is the opportunity to see lecturers outside of a professional setting! It's also a great way to gain a preview into modules at different years and to get ahead/prepared for years to come so you never feel overwhelmed!
