About Us
Welcome to the official LJMU Pakistani Society! Our mission is to unite the Pakistani student community at Liverpool John Moores University and create a lively platform that celebrates the richness of Pakistani culture through social events, cultural awareness, and shared experiences. We warmly welcome students from all backgrounds who are interested in discovering more about Pakistan’s traditions, food, music, language, and history. Throughout the academic year, we plan to organise a wide variety of engaging activities — from cultural nights and festival celebrations to social meet-ups and collaborative events with other Pakistani societies from nearby universities. By joining us, you’ll have the opportunity to make new friends, build connections, and immerse yourself in an enriching cultural journey.
Key Information
The Pakistani Society aims to meet regularly, with at least one gathering each month held in the LJMU Student Life Building. These meet-ups are designed to be relaxed, social, and welcoming to everyone. Beyond these monthly meetings, we also organise larger cultural and social events externally throughout the year, often in partnership with Pakistani societies from other universities in the region. These bigger events showcase the diversity and vibrancy of Pakistani culture and offer a fantastic chance to meet a wider community. Committee
Each society is led by a student committee responsible for running the society, organising activities, and representing its members. The committee is chaired by the Society President, with support from other elected roles.
