About Us

Hello and welcome to the Liverpool Orthodox Christian Society! We are a society for all students, Orthodox or not, to learn more about the Orthodox faith. Whether you are a non-Orthodox student who wants to learn more about Orthodoxy, or an Orthodox Christian who wants to enrich your faith, there is a place for you in our society.

Key Information (When, Where, and How Often We Meet)

Our society plans on engaging in a number of activities from Christian pilgrimages around the country, to book clubs, movie nights, and hosting outside speakers. Be sure to join our WhatsApp group and follow our Instagram (info below) in order to stay up to date!

We have members who worship at the Church of St. Elisabeth the New-Martyr (ROCOR) across the Mersey in Wallasey, and St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church here in Liverpool.

Church of St. Elisabeth the New-Martyr:

Saturday: Great Vespers - 6:00pm

Sunday: Divine Liturgy - 10:00am

St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church:

Sunday: Matins & Divine Liturgy - 10:00am

Why Should You Join Us?

We aim to provide a space for students & alumni alike to learn more about the Orthodox faith and meet other Orthodox Christians. This year we plan on hosting numerous pilgrimages, talks, socials, and more which will be a great opportunity for learning, spiritual growth, and fun!
