The LJMU Omani Society is a welcoming community where students come together to celebrate the rich culture, traditions, and hospitality of Oman. Whether you’re from Oman, interested in learning about it, or just looking for a friendly society to join, you’ll find a place here.

About Us

The Omani Society is about more than just connecting Omani students — it’s about sharing our heritage with the wider LJMU community. Oman is known for its history, traditions, cuisine, and warm hospitality, and we aim to bring all of that to life through our events and socials. From cultural celebrations to casual meet-ups, we provide a supportive space where members can feel at home, make friends, and showcase our culture with pride.

Key Information

Who can join? All LJMU students — you don’t need to be Omani to get involved.

When we meet: Monthly meet-ups and special cultural events

Where: On campus and at community venues (updates shared via Instagram and society channels)

Extras: Cultural festivals, food socials, trips, and collaborations with other societies

Why Us?

Joining the Omani Society means being part of a vibrant, supportive community. You’ll experience the warmth of Omani culture, enjoy traditional celebrations, and meet people from diverse backgrounds. For Omani students, it’s a way to feel connected to home, and for others, it’s an opportunity to learn, share, and celebrate with us. We believe in unity, friendship, and creating lasting memories — and we’d love for you to be part of it.
