About Our Group

Netball is one of the biggest clubs in LJMU Sport winning club of the year 2023. This year we will have 7 BUCS teams ranging across 6 Leagues. We have had a phenomenal year having promotions winning leagues and making it to the finals of the conference cup and winning the conference Shield.  We are one massive family and can’t wait to welcome as many freshers as possible!

 Our aim for the forthcoming season is for all our teams to be successful in their individual leagues and to mirror our achievements in previous seasons. With netball being at the forefront of woman’s sport, we are looking to expand as a club and promote participation and inclusion. We have further introduced a Casual netball and a intramural league for our players who want to play netball in a ‘no-pressure environment’ and meet new people across the university as well as having fun by playing netball!

• 2nds - EY Northern tier 3
• 3rds - EY Northern tier 5
• 4ths - EY Northern tier 5
• 5ths - EY Northern tier 6
• 6ths - EY Northern tier 8
• 7ths - EY Northern tier 9

Key Information (When, Where, and How Often We Meet)

All club members will train at the LJMU  sports hall every Monday, 6pm-10:20pm (please contact us for specific team training times). The first and second teams will be involved in a further session with the University’s Strength and Conditioning team within the city campus on Tuesdays (time and day to be confirmed).

Our weekly social events take place on a Wednesday night after a full day of fixtures and they are organised by our current social secretaries, Orla, Em and Halle who were nominated at the end of last season. As well as this we take part in an annual sports tour which we encourage the whole club to go on. We also aim to vary our social events by going out for meals and doing other activities. This year we are also planning on incorperating sober socials such as runs!
