About Us! |

LJMU Musicians and Singers Society is for music lovers of all kinds! We welcome everyone; every genre of music and every level of skill. As a society, we love to meet like-minded people who love music as much as we do! Throughout the week, we host open mics and social events in Liverpool city centre. This is the time to not only show off your skills as a musician, but chill out and have a laugh with friends, while listening to local budding artists. Don't worry if you don't see our society right away, we're open all year round for new members! And more importantly, our membership is FREE!

Our open mic nights are hosted every Monday by our committee members! Even if you don't want to perform, it is a great time to meet other like-minded musicians and artists and make life-long friendships. There is no pressure to perform every week, we just are happy to see you all! We are also looking at hosting open mics in other venues around town. Not only are there open mics, but throughout the year we and the other universities in Liverpool also like to put on gigs to promote our talented musicians in the Liverpool music scene! These gigs are in venues all over the city centre, so it's a great way to get to know your way around while listening to new, original music! We love a good social, so alongside our gigs and open mics, we try putting a few social events on to get to know each other more! As a society, we want to make sure everyone feels included so we make sure that these events cater for as many people as possible! We have also managed to secure free entry to Shindie on Thursdays! |
