Moore TV is a creative media community for students who want to get hands-on with television production, filmmaking, and digital content. Whether you’re aiming for a media career or simply want to try something new, we offer opportunities to collaborate, create, and bring ideas to life on screen.

About Us

We produce a wide range of content including studio-based TV shows, short documentaries, event coverage, and fun short-form videos featuring student groups and campus life. Members can get involved both on-screen and behind the scenes, with opportunities to pitch programme ideas, grow technical skills, and experiment with different styles of storytelling. With access to our studio setups and on-location equipment, we encourage students to learn by doing and to develop confidence in real production environments.

Key Information

Membership is open to all students and no prior experience is needed — we offer guidance, training, and peer support for those who are new to filming, editing, or presenting. Throughout the year we run studio sessions, filming days, workshops, screenings, and collaborative projects with other societies. Our activities are supported by the Student Union and small membership fees, and we communicate through social platforms and mailing lists to keep members updated with upcoming shoots and opportunities.

Why Us?

Joining Moore TV gives you the chance to work on real productions, build industry-relevant experience, and take on roles aligned with your interests — from camera operation and sound to presenting, directing, editing, scriptwriting, production management, set design, and more. It’s also a fantastic way to meet other creative students, experiment with ideas, and be part of a friendly, energetic team making genuinely fun and impactful content for the student community.

Committee

Each society is led by a student committee responsible for running the society, organising activities, and representing its members. The committee is chaired by the Society President, with support from other elected roles.
