Midwifery: Professional healthcare for pregnancy, childbirth, and care after birth
The LJMU Midwifery Society was set up as a backbone to support students and staff alike to continue their development in the professional world of Midwifery and Health Care.
The society enables members to expand their network and increase opportunities to progress professionally in the sphere of Midwifery, but also to meet up and attend Midwifery related academic and social events.
Our values are:
|
Key Information (When, Where, and How Often We Meet) |
We organise learning opportunities and social activities as well as informing students of external events available to attend such as conferences, study days, and training.
|
Why Should You Join Us? |
We have hosted many successful events including a study day with workshops on normality, hypnobirthing, APEC, and smoking cessation. We also held a CIPD accredited training day on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, which was a great success.
We will continue to grow and host great events as well as social and team-building events for our members. |
