The Indie Society is the perfect society for those who love indie music and live music. No matter how much or little indie music you listen to, you can come along and meet others with the same passions.
Welcome to the official Indie Society of Liverpool John Moores University, the perfect place for anyone who loves indie music. Our aim is to bring together anyone who enjoys discovering new bands, meeting new people and having a good time. No matter which type of indie music you listen to (indie rock, indie pop, etc) you can join us and guarantee to have fun as well as supporting the local music scene.
We meet twice a month on average. One social every month will be a gig in Liverpool city centre (the tickets will always be under £20!), and the other is usually a pub/drinking social. However we have many different types of social planned for this year. Don't be afraid to contact us if you have any questions or suggestions!
Our aim is to make a society where people can meet to support independent artists, as well as to have a good time (and brag about their music taste!). If what we have planned sounds good to you, make sure to come along to our socials.
We also do giveaways for gig tickets so make sure to give us a follow on instagram and join the whatsapp group.
Each society is led by a student committee responsible for running the society, organising activities, and representing its members. The committee is chaired by the Society President, with support from other elected roles.
