The LJMU Girls Games and Fandom Society is a welcoming space for women and non-binary students who love gaming, anime, and all the general nerdy fandoms! Whether you’re into cozy games, cosplay, books, or binge-watching your favourite shows, this is your community to relax, share, and connect with likeminded people! We know at times the gaming and general nerdy hobby communities online can be male dominated, often causing many women and non-binary people to feel small and unseen. Our society aims to abolish this feeling, and instead create a place with warmth, comfort and familiarity! We hope to create lots of amazing friendships through this society, and can't wait to meet you all! We’re a society that celebrates all forms of fandom and gaming culture in a friendly, inclusive environment. Our members enjoy a mix of gaming sessions, fandom discussions, watch parties, and creative socials. From chatting about your favourite series to teaming up for multiplayer games or showing off your cosplay, there’s something here for everyone. Our aim is to create a supportive space for women and non-binary students to express their interests freely, make friends, and feel part of a community that shares their passions. Who can join? Each society is led by a student committee responsible for running the society, organising activities, and representing its members.
