The LJMU Rocket League team Scousesports, consisting of Charlie 'stock' Stockley, Tom 'Pred' Yehya and Sergei 'Kosmico' Fook bested 64 other UK university teams to place 1st in the final standings of the Northern Regional League. The top 16 teams of the league then progressed to a round of 16 knockout stage. Scousesports progressed to the semi final, beating a side from the University of Leeds 4-0. A gripping final saw the team beat a strong University of East Anglia team in a 4-3 victory, to take 1st place overall in the Northern Regional League. This victory in the Northern League led to a final game of the North vs South Champions, where the team played against a side from Hertfordshire University.

The LJMU side played some of the best Rocket League we've seen from them all season and secured a 4-1 series win, crowning them the Regional Leagues champions. Along with this incredible title, players from the team were also nominated for a variety of awards in the Hemis UK University Spring Season Awards. Kosmico saw a nomination for the Spring Season Breakout player, Stock received a nomination for Coach of the Season and Pred was nominated for, and won the award of Graduate of the Season.

A massive well done and congratulations to all of the team for putting LJMU Rocket League on the map by finishing 1st place in a tough competition, especially considering that it was the teams' first season playing together. We also bid a fond farewell to Pred as he graduates this year, but want to thank the team all the same for putting in such fantastic performances this season.
