About Us |
LJMU Women's futsal is a BUCS (British Universities and College Sport) competing team.
LJMUs Womens Futsal is a style of football, built up of two five-a-side teams, however more intense, fast-paced and more directly skill-focused. Great for improving ball skill, speed, and agility. Recommended for all levels of the sport, people looking to improve regular 11-a-side performance or to play the sport solely as its own. Originating in South America, many of the footballing greats grew up playing futsal.
This 24/25 season we are looking to expand our community by gaining more members and organising charitable events and would love for you to get involved!

Key Information (When, Where, and How Often We Meet) |
Training - We train every Thursday 7:30-9 pm in the LJMU Sports Building. Training starts on Thursday 3rd October 2024. Still awaiting confirmation on taster session, any updates to be found on our instagram @ljmuwomensfutsal Fixtures- BUCS matches are staggered throughout the year across the North of England. *Home fixtures take place in the LJMU sports Building in a tournament-like fashion. *Away locations are dependant on the host with TRANSPORT PROVIDED for all away fixtures. Socials- Socials are at the forefront of LJMU Sport's clubs. They occur every Wednesday evening/night and it's a time to bond as a team, whilst being in fancy dress and out on the town and making memories that you will never forget! Each week the sports social will have a different theme and the location may differ, but we will always meet and go out in and around town. We are looking to introduce more sober/chilled socials and cannot wait to get started! Socials provide an opportunity to spend time with teammates outside of futsal but also allow you to meet people from different teams and societies during joint socials. |
Why Should You Join Us? |
If you're interested in futsal/football and want to be involved with a group of girls that have each other's backs on and off the court then this is the sports society for you!
Never played futsal before? Not to worry, you will not be alone! Most of our girls had never played before joining and I can guarantee many new members will be in the same position. Futsal rules are super easy and super simple to learn and we encourage you to get involved, step out of your comfort zone and try something new!
Futsal allows you to develop your skills, improve your fitness and make friends for life.
You can also join futsal alongside other sports clubs as our BUCS fixtures are not weekly and do not fall on Wednesdays, like most Sports club fixtures. |
