The LJMU Feminist Society is an open, welcoming space committed to fostering awareness, education, and activism around feminist issues. Our meetings take place weekly, typically in the Student Life Building, with the exact day shared well in advance via our Instagram page @ljmu_femsoc. We keep members informed about upcoming socials, workshops, and larger events through regular updates on social media. Joining is completely free, and most of our activities and socials are offered at no cost, with occasional low fees for bigger events. Whether it’s a casual meetup, a book club, a self-defence class, or a collaborative campaign, you can expect a friendly, supportive atmosphere with plenty of opportunities to get involved and contribute your ideas.

Each society is led by a student committee responsible for running the society, organising activities, and representing its members. The committee is chaired by the Society President, with support from other elected roles.
