The LJMU Fashion Society is a vibrant and inclusive community that brings together students with a shared love for fashion, regardless of their course of study or experience level. Our mission is to provide a creative outlet where members can experiment, showcase their work, and connect with fellow fashion enthusiasts. We curate a diverse mix of events — from hands-on creative workshops and gallery visits to energetic parties and exhibition nights — making sure there’s something exciting for everyone. We pride ourselves on fostering an environment that encourages inspiration, collaboration, and fun, whether you’re looking to develop your skills, build your portfolio, or simply make new friends who share your passion for style.

We typically meet at least twice a month, with the possibility of more frequent events depending on the calendar. Each social event follows a unique theme or activity and is carefully announced via our Instagram page @ljmufashionsoc and through our Lounge platform for members. Our events strike a balance between sober, creative gatherings—like gallery tours or design workshops—and lively nights out, including exhibitions featuring members’ own work held at local venues. Collaboration is key for us, and we regularly team up with other societies and external partners to bring fresh experiences and networking opportunities to our members. Tickets for socials are free unless otherwise stated, and all event details can be found on the JMSU events tab.

Each society is led by a student committee responsible for running the society, organising activities, and representing its members. The committee is chaired by the Society President, with support from other elected roles.
