About Us
Welcome to the Far-East Asian Society — a society built on community, culture, and connection. Our mission is to celebrate the rich heritage of Far-East Asia, spanning countries like China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, and more. We aim to bring together Far-East Asian international students, British Asians, and anyone interested in the region’s culture under one welcoming, inclusive umbrella.
Whether you’re passionate about traditional festivals, modern pop culture, language exchange, or just want a place to feel at home while studying in Liverpool, this society is here for you. We host events that reflect the diversity of our members — from Lunar New Year celebrations and cultural showcases to casual food nights and karaoke socials.
Our goal is simple: to build a friendly, supportive environment where culture can be shared, friendships can be formed, and students can feel seen, valued, and connected.

Committee
Each society is led by a student committee responsible for running the society, organising activities, and representing its members. The committee is chaired by the Society President, with support from other elected roles.
