The CEES Society is a welcoming, supportive community for students who are care experienced or estranged, offering a safe space to connect with others who understand your journey. Our society exists to reduce isolation, build confidence, and provide a strong sense of belonging on campus.

About Us

We bring together students who may not have traditional family support, creating a compassionate environment where members can form friendships, share experiences, and access resources tailored to their needs. Through social events, wellbeing workshops, peer support sessions, and collaborations with student services, we aim to uplift and empower care experienced and estranged students, ensuring everyone feels valued and understood.

Key Information

Membership is open exclusively to care experienced and estranged students, with complete confidentiality and sensitivity maintained at all times. We run regular meetups throughout the academic year—ranging from relaxed socials to practical support sessions. We share updates through private channels to protect members’ privacy while keeping everyone informed and involved.

Why Us?

Joining the CEES Society means gaining a community that genuinely understands your challenges and celebrates your resilience. It’s a space to build supportive friendships, develop confidence, and access opportunities designed to help you thrive both personally and academically. Whether you’re seeking connection, encouragement, or simply a place to feel at home, the CEES Society is here for you every step of the way.

Committee

Each society is led by a student committee responsible for running the society, organising activities, and representing its members. The committee is chaired by the Society President, with support from other elected roles.
