About Our Group

We are a team of experienced players and also those new to the sport. We encourage all to come and give the fastest growing sport in the UK a chance!

We have three competitive teams; our first team plays in the Northern 1A BUCS league, our second team competes in the Northern 4A BUCS league, and our new third team will compete in the Northern 5A BUCS league.

The first and second team will be looking to push for promotion this coming season, which we believe is a realistic ambition for the club. Our new third team will be looking to develop skills for new players and to get them involved in the community that our club has to offer. 

Key Information (When, Where, and How Often We Meet)

First team: Monday 9pm-10.30pm 

Second and Third team: Tuesday 7.30pm-10.30pm 

All teams: Friday morning 7am-9am 

Wednesday: GAME DAY!! 

Training will be held at the LJMU sports center.

By joining LJMU Men’s Basketball, not only do you get the opportunity to try out a new sport or further develop previously learned skills, but you also get the honor of playing in a well-respected team, known for its success and team cohesion. You will get to compete and play with very high standard basketball players, with some of our team members playing at an international level. You will also get the opportunity to be coached at a high standard and improve your skillset. We’re a team who loves to socialise not only amongst ourselves but with all the other teams and societies at LJMU. 

Joining a club or society at university is one of the best ways of meeting great new people, having fun, and ensuring that you get the most from the social aspect of university life, and we believe LJMU Basketball is one of the best places to do that!
