The LJMU Artificial Intelligence Society is the hub for students fascinated by the power of AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies. Whether you’re an aspiring data scientist, a curious coder, or just someone interested in how AI shapes our world, this is the perfect place to learn, collaborate, and innovate.
We’re a community of students passionate about artificial intelligence and its role in transforming the future. Our society brings together people from all backgrounds and skill levels — from beginners to AI enthusiasts — to explore topics like machine learning, robotics, data analysis, and ethics in technology.
We host workshops, talks from industry professionals, coding sessions, and discussion groups designed to build your technical knowledge while encouraging creativity and collaboration. Whether you want to dive deep into algorithms or simply understand what AI means for society, there’s a space for you here.
Who can join? All LJMU students — no AI experience required!
When we meet: Weekly or fortnightly workshops and social sessions
Where: On campus (labs and lecture rooms) and online (via Discord)
Extras: Guest speakers, coding challenges, hackathons, networking events, and collaborative projects
AI is shaping the world around us — and the best way to understand it is to get involved. By joining the Artificial Intelligence Society, you’ll gain practical experience, make valuable connections, and explore cutting-edge technology in a supportive and inspiring environment. Whether you want to build intelligent systems, discuss AI ethics, or just learn something new, this is where your curiosity meets innovation.
Each society is led by a student committee responsible for running the society, organising activities, and representing its members. The committee is chaired by the Society President, with support from other elected roles.
