It's officially Freshers season, we have an amazing schedule lined up just for you. But, we know that starting a new journey at university may seem daunting, and the word 'Freshers' may seem strange to some. Don't worry; we're here to make sure you get the right information before you arrive so you know exactly what to expect when starting your first couple of weeks here at LJMU. Here's what you can expect from us at Freshers this year...

We have an extensive events schedule that is proving to be extremely popular already, with many events booking up quick. But, don't worry - we have plenty going on, so you will never miss out.

Don't forget, the majority of students are starting alone, you're all in the same boat. By attending our events, you are bound to find likeminded friends with similar interests to you. So don't feel nervous to turn up by yourself, we'll be here to help you ease into university life. You will have the opportunity to try out some new experiences such as axe throwing, go karting, bubble football, cook-a-long sessions or pottery making. We also have lots of Give It a Go sessions all over campus so you can learn new skills, create your own masterpieces or even try out new sports activities.

Get your dancing shoes on and enjoy one of our many welcome parties such as the Big Freshers Fiesta, When Life Gives you Lennons, Byrom Bonanza and many more. We have events happening at every campus at LJMU so you can enjoy food vans, crazy music bingo, DJ sets, performances and more.

If the party life isn't for you, don't worry -we've got plenty of other activities you can get involved in. Join us on one of our quizzes, mindfulness workshops, a tranditional Irish breakfast, Go Ape, Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Chester Zoo trips.

We offer some commercial events too, so come on down to our poster and jewellery pop-up shops, vintage clothing sales and even a Tatti Lashes sample sale.

If you need some support or more information on what we offer, or what the university can do for you, you can drop by to one of our fairs to find out more about our services, advice and support. We'll also be offering induction talks to make sure our message is as inclusive and accessible as possible.

If we can suggest one thing, it's to book onto our Freshers Fair, one of our biggest events of the year. Here you will be able to meet all of our sports, societies and communities that are waiting for you to join. You can also find out about volunteering and work opportunities here, so you can get the most out of your university experience. Plus, you'll get the chance to pick up some exclusive freebies and of course, Domino's pizza. We can't wait to see you there!

If you need any help, or would like a tour of the campuses or the city, we're here to help. Sign up to our Buddy Scheme today and you can get the extra confidence boost you need to make sure you have the best experience possible. If you need any help or want any updates on our events, follow us on socials and please feel free to get in touch.
