Join us for a hands-on session to create raised garden beds that will provide a sustainable growing space for students! This is a great opportunity to contribute to campus well-being, learn practical skills, and enjoy teamwork outdoors. The Sustainability Team are teaming up with students and colleagues in the Business School. During the session, there will be several activities to get involved in, these include:

  • Building the raised beds
  • Filling the beds with topsoil
  • Applying wood preserver
  • Sowing seeds in pots
  • Litter picking and tidying up of the garden space

No experience? No problem! Guidance will be provided and you don't have to do everything - you're welcome to choose the activities you feel more comfortable with.

Time and Date: We'll be holding the session on Tuesday 17th March from 12pm - 2pm. If you can't make the full session but are still keen to come along for some of it, that's no problem, please do feel free to join us for as long as you're able to!

Clothing: Please wear comfy clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Gloves will be provided.

Weather: The event will proceed unless there is extreme weather so please dress appropriately.

Meeting Point: Please meet outside the cafe in the John Lennon Art and Design Building garden.
