Start A Group
Have you got an exciting idea that nobody else is doing? If you’re passionate about an interest that isn’t already covered by our existing groups, be the trailblazer who starts it.
We’re always looking for students to launch fresh sports teams and societies – and we’ll guide you every step of the way.
Step 1: Apply
Fill out the Application Form with your idea and details.
Step 2: Confirmation
Our Opportunities & Development Team will review your submission and confirm receipt within 10 working days (Monday-Friday). They might ask for a bit more information to strengthen your application.
Step 3: Review
Your application will go to our Student Officer Panel for review at their next meeting. Once they’ve met, you’ll get a decision.
Step 4: Get started!
If approved, you’ll receive training and ongoing support from the Opportunities & Development Team to get your group up and running.
If your application isn’t successful, we’ll explain why and suggest next steps.
