In preparation for semester one drawing to a close, we've listed the in person and online support services, information and contacts which may be useful to you over the festive period.
Updated open/close times across campus
We will close our JMSU reception and services on Tuesday 20 December and will reopen Tuesday 3 January 2023. The Student Life Building itself will remain open 24/7 (excluding Core Cafe, which closes 23 December).
The University and its services will close at 5pm on Friday 24 December and will reopen at 9am on Tuesday 3 January 2023.
The Student Life Building will remain open 24/7 over the festive period and security will be based at reception. If you are on campus and encounter any security issues then contact the Security Emergeny line
Catering outlets will remain closed although vending machines will be available.
Aldham Robarts and Avril Robarts Libraries will close at 5pm on Friday 23 December and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 3 January.
Library services services staff will be available in the Student Life Building between 10am and 4pm on the following days: Saturday 31 December, Sunday 1 January, Monday 2 January. You can find the online Electronic Library (available 24/7) via LJMU website, email and contact number.
Student Advice and Wellbeing Services staff will be available in the Student Life Building between 10am and 4pm on the following days: Wednesday 28 December, Thursday 29 December, Friday 30 December.
A 24/7 out of hours rota for the university will be operational throughout the festive period to respond to any urgent issues that arise, with initial contact through Security.
The Sport Building will close on Friday 23 December and reopen on Tuesday 2 December 2023. During the festive period, a pop-up gym will be available for students to use.

Liverpool Sexual Health offer services including contraception, LGBT+ wellbeing support, STI screening, pregnancy testing, abortion referrals and more.
Axess Sexual Health offers STI testing and treatment, contraception, pregnancy testing, PEP and specialist young people's services.

Rethink Mental Illness has a range of resources available to enable you to manage your mental health
The Mix has a bank of support guides available designed for people under 25 covering issues from money, tenancy rights through to advice on supporting others coping with Corona-anxiety
