Competition terms and conditions - Leeds Festival Competition

By entering this competition, you agree that in the event of winning, your data will be passed on to Festival Republic Ltd and give permission for a member of the Festival Republic team to contact you to arrange your prize. Tickets are non-transferable. Non-transferable means that no one else can use these tickets even in the event of the original winner no longer being able to attend.

 

  1. The promoter is John Moores Students' Union whose registered office is at 

    Liverpool John Moores Students' Union, 

    John Foster Building, Mount Pleasant, Liverpool, L3 5UZ

     

  1. The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over except employees of John Moores Students' Union and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition. You must be a current LJMU student. 

  1. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

  1. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  2. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.

  1. Closing date for entry will be 4pm on 27th March 2019. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

  1. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

  1. The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:

Buy a ticket to the Varsity Headline event on the JMSU website in the 24 hour period between 4pm on Tuesday 26th March and 4pm on 27th March 2019

10. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.

11. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.

12. The prize is as follows: 2 tickets to Leeds Festival as supplied by Festival Republic 

The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

13. Winners will be chosen at random by software and announced on Wednesday 27th March 2019

14. The winner will be notified by email and/or DM on Facebook on Wednesday 27th March 2019. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

15. The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected / is delivered.

16. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

17. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

18. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by [English] law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [England].

19. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current [UK] data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

20. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

21. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other Social Network. You are providing your information to John Moores Students' Union and not to any other party. 

 

 

 

In consideration of Liverpool John Moores Students' Union providing personal data Festival Republic, Festival Republic agrees that:

 

  • We are both data controllers of the personal data and we are both responsible for compliance with all relevant laws relating to the processing of personal data including, but not limited to, the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulations 2003 (as amended)
  • All pairs of tickets will be standard camping tickets and will not include parking, camping equipment, guest campsite etc.
  • Festival Republic will only send marketing information to those individuals who are flagged as having consented to their details being used by us for marketing purposes. Festival Republic do not provide any warranties or assurances in respect of this consent.
  • We will both keep all personal data secure and take reasonable steps to protect the personal data you hold from misuse, loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
  • We will be posting out the tickets from 6 weeks before the festival - Leeds from July - up until the week before the festival so please make sure that they give us a postal address for then.
  • We will not send out another pair of tickets if an incorrect address is given.
