The Nutrition Society at LJMU is a vibrant student-led community dedicated to anyone with a passion for nutrition, food, health, and overall well-being. Whether you are studying nutrition academically or simply interested in how diet affects our lives, this society provides an inviting space to connect, learn, and share knowledge. Together, we explore the science and art of nutrition through engaging discussions, activities, and events designed to inspire and educate.

About Us

The LJMU Nutrition Society welcomes all students who are curious about or passionate about nutrition, regardless of your field of study. Our mission is to foster a supportive and inclusive environment where members can exchange ideas, discover new perspectives, and stay informed about the latest developments in nutrition and health. We believe nutrition plays a vital role in improving quality of life, and through our society, we aim to promote awareness of balanced diets, wellness strategies, and sustainable food choices. Throughout the year, members will have opportunities to attend workshops, guest lectures from industry experts, cooking demonstrations, and social meet-ups—all designed to deepen understanding and celebrate the role of nutrition in everyday life.

Key Information

The Nutrition Society hosts regular meet-ups throughout the academic year, offering a flexible schedule that fits student needs. While exact days and times are still being finalised, these gatherings provide a friendly forum for members to discuss topics ranging from the latest nutritional science to practical advice on meal planning and healthy lifestyles. Meetings will be held on campus in accessible spaces, with additional opportunities to participate in collaborative events, challenges, and outreach initiatives. Stay tuned to our social media channels and mailing list for up-to-date information on upcoming sessions, special guest speakers, and exciting nutrition-related events.
