About Our Group

The main aim of anime society is to show a diverse range of new and classic anime of many genres to group members. We meet to socialise, share our opinions on episodes and meet people with similar intrests.

Each week we show the first episode of three animes. The first two are choosen by our screening officers and we let our members vote for the third anime shown out of a list. We do this because we want to show episodes that you have an intrest in. We also aim to have a theme each week. This ranges from the classics from the 80s, popular shonen, spooky/horror and much more. 

Along with our themes we have an activity that we try to tie in with it. Some examples inlude quizes, coming up with your own anime idea, working out a character from clues and much more. We incourage everyone to get involved and have a go.

Most importantly everyone is welcome at anime society. Whether your an anime expert, casual watcher or new to anime, anyone can come along.

Key Information (When, Where and How Often We Meet)

We meet every Thursday in room 302 in the Student Life Building from 6pm-8pm. 

Why Should You Join Us?

Joining anime society is a great way to socialise with like-minded people. The main point of society is to be sociable with one another, to be a fun place to hang out with friends, and meet new ones all whilst enjoying some anime. It is also an oppurtunity to discover animes you may not have seen or heard of before.
