About Us
LJMU Anime Society is a place to discover new anime and connect with other people about anime and manga. With weekly themes such as “Slice of Life Week” and “Shoujo Week”, we’re sure to have something that everyone will be interested in! Our sessions are not just watch parties but also filled with weekly changing activities such as origami making and other craft based activities.
At our core, we are all about anime, but we also explore other aspects of Japanese culture - anyone is welcome and we encourage you to join!
Key Information
We meet up on Thursdays from 6 - 8 pm, room 303 in the Student Life Building. Any student of LJMU is welcome to attend and we urge to follow us on Instagram and join our Discord server to keep up to date with what we’re doing!

We’re always looking to make new friends with great taste in anime and year after year, we’ve had members tell us that Anime Society has become their second family. Committee
Each society is led by a student committee responsible for running the society, organising activities, and representing its members. The committee is chaired by the Society President, with support from other elected roles.
