Animal Behaviour
Animal Behaviour is one of our many academic societies at JMSU and aims to create a community of like-minded individuals that have space to network, gain inclusive volunteering opportunities and have a bit of fun along the way too!

The Baking Society
The Baking Society invites you to join in by taking part in weekly bakes and a chance to win star baker! At the moment you can join via zoom from the comfort of your own home and get involved with baking challenges, learning new skills and charity bakes!

Conservative Society
LJMU Conservatives is a group that welcomes anyone with either a centre-right political stance or who is fairly sympathetic to the Conservative Party and their views.
We aim to meet at least twice a month to discuss our political views, feelings and opinions through group discussions and friendly debates. We hold political social events as regularly as possible such as a pub quiz, politics and pizza sessions and Q&A sessions with MP's and high-profile political speakers.

Geography Society

The Grad Soc(iety)
Sponsored by a northern-based marketing agency – Hotshot – the society will be given live marketing briefs to which members can pitch their ideas. Hotshot agency has worked with the likes of Captain Morgan, In the Style, Asos, and Amazon. Hotshot and The Grad Soc(iety) will also be launching an all-new summer internship programme for 10 society members - EVERY.SINGLE.YEAR.
Our priority is to get Marketing, Business, and PR students (and anyone in general) ready for the cut-throat world that is job hunting. We're hoping to get you guys as much hands-on experience as possible while sharing insightful tips on how to have the edge over the competition. Anyone and everyone can get involved, but this would look extra sick on a Marketing/Business student’s CV!

Indie Society
Indie Soc invites anyone with a fondness of indie music and rock to come along to society sessions! These include meetings to discover new artists, new clubs to go to, and potentially access to tickets for indie related events- once or twice a fortnight. The aim of the group is to give people with a common love of indie music a platform to talk to each other and find friends for nights out and festivals.

Mental Health Nursing Society
This society is aimed at all mental health nursing students. It will also be open to allied health students (adult/children nursing/paramedic etc.) who have an interest in mental health and would like to develop knowledge around mental health.
Other aims are to liaise with academics and local services to offer additional seminars on important topics in mental health nursing. As well as engage with local schools to engage in mental health promotion and offer career guidance relating to mental health nursing.
We would like to offer members the opportunity to meet up weekly through a drop-in service to provide support and recognise the unique challenges mental health nursing students are facing during these uncertain times.

Musical Theatre Society
We are an inclusive, social & arts society @ Liverpool John Moore’s University. There are no pre-requisites to be a member & any students at LJMU are welcome to join! We aspire to focus on all elements of musical theatre (performing, production team roles, stage management, set design etc.) to create an enriching experience for all members.
This isn't a society exclusively for performers but for everyone who has an interest in musical theatre. Whether that is in the form of performing, producing, art, dance or if you just enjoy a good sing along to a musical. We as a committee want to bring people together to learn new things and enjoy musical theatre in its entirety. If this sounds like something you would enjoy then please join! :)

Social society are an up-and-coming group designed to help with getting people connected on campus! If you would like to get involved in planning events, meetups and catching up with others once things on campus settle down then check out the page on the JMSU website! Vintage Fashion Society
You should join us if you're into fashion of all styles and cultures! We'll be discussing fashion from all decades and periods as well as current trends and issues within the fashion industry. Currently, we will be running quizzes, discussions, and debates, whilst we're still social distancing. Each month, we will be having a go at new design projects and discussing them within the group as we go.
The plans are to arrange scheduled trips to museums, galleries, the cinema and theatre as well as other fun social events.
Our practical projects will be suitable for all levels so even if you have limited experience, don't be scared to get stuck in!
