Hi! Angelina here, your President at JMSU.

I’m really pleased to announce that, working alongside LJMU, we’re introducing a trial of free menstrual products for staff and students in all 221 female, gender neutral and accessible toilets across campus!

When conducting research into Period Poverty, I was shocked to discover that a number of students would either not attend University, or go home if they were caught off guard with a period and couldn’t afford products. Free, readily available products will help to remove this barrier to education, and move us closer towards gender equality.

Alongside this, Moon Cups will also be available directly from us at JMSU to help educate students on more sustainable and cost friendly methods of menstrual care.
