Amazing evening at the 2013 Amazing Teaching Awards

The Liverpool Students’ Union Amazing Teaching Awards evening returned on Friday 31st May 2013 to recognise the hard work, efforts and dedication that Liverpool John Moores University teaching staff give each year to our members.


The event was held at the Radison Blu Hotel in Liverpool City Centre and attended by various nominees and University staff, including the Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel Weatherall who was delighted to be asked to present the Course Rep Award to life-changing student Jennifer Vasey. A total of 127 student representatives were nominated for the award.


The coveted award of Outstanding Teacher was awarded to Architectural Technology teacher, Spencer Kelly. In his acceptance speech, he described his pride at winning such an award and being recognised by his students as one of the best as ‘like coming off the subs bench at Anfield.’
