At Coram Beanstalk we believe that reading opens the door to a brighter future. That's why we recruit, train and support volunteers to provide one-to-one reading support to children who struggle with their reading ability and confidence.
Beanstalk reading helpers work with children on a one-to-one basis, giving them consistent support to improve their reading ability, increase their overall self-confidence and enjoyment of reading, and help give them the vital skills they need to succeed in school and life.
Coram Beanstalk provides one-to-one support to children across Merseyside who struggle with their reading and confidence.
Becoming a Coram Beanstalk reading helper is a great way to make a difference to a child’s life and enjoy a rewarding volunteering experience.
With Coram Beanstalk's volunteer programmes, you'll help three children on a one-to-one basis, once or twice a week, for an academic year. With your support, you'll help them improve their reading ability, confidence and learn to love reading.
This simple method helps to motivate and support a child to feel more positive about their own reading, to check and deepen the child’s comprehension and to have fun with books in a way that enriches and enhances a child's learning, giving them the skills to succeed in their education.
