About Us

Sadly, this society has become inactive and is in need of committee members to take over it for next year. Could you be the ideal committee member?

Being a committee member means organising the sessions and setting up events, trips, challenges and many more. It looks amazing on your CV and is a great way to make friends and improve your confidence.

If you are still a student next year and are interested in being a committee member and re-setting up this society for next year, please send an email to jmsusoceities@ljmu.ac.uk so we can send you some more information.

We are an inclusive society at LJMU that ws set up last year! We are a society that's centered around the Palestinian cause and other MENA countries that are facing human rights violations.

We hope to run informative events this upcoming year as well as multiple human rights campaigns, find our current one on our Instagram page! We also aim to run fun, active events to raise funds for charities that are similar to our cause.

Our society is affiliated with other organisations including: Human Relief Foundation, Apartheid Off Campus, Palestine Solidarity Campaign and Liverpool Friends of Palestine (the community group).

Currently as a group we have been focusing on Palestine but we would love to include and embrace countries such as Yemen, Syria, Lebanon and more.

Key Information (When, Where and How Often We Meet)

We are currently looking to build a strong committee this upcoming month and then we will plan all the finer details that will suit the groups needs!

Why Should You Join Us?

Our events are open to everyone and anyone! Joining our society allows you to become more aware of current global issues as well as learning from different cultures. We aim for our society to be a safe space at all times as well as a place of friendship.
