LJMU Chess Society Membership Terms and Conditions

By becoming a member of LJMU Chess Society, you agree to the following terms and conditions which outline your rights and responsibilities as a member of our society. Please read this document carefully before joining.

1. Eligibility:

  • Membership is open to all currently enrolled students of Liverpool John Moores University.
  • Non-students may be eligible for associate membership, subject to approval by the society's executive committee.

2. Membership Period:

  • Membership is valid for the academic year in which it is purchased.
  • Membership may be renewed annually.

3. Membership Benefits:

  • Members are entitled to participate in society events, workshops, and activities.
  • Members may receive discounts on event registration fees and society merchandise.
  • Members will have access to society resources and online platforms.

4. Code of Conduct:

  • Members are expected to conduct themselves with respect, courtesy, and inclusivity towards fellow members and society officials.
  • Harassment, discrimination, or any form of disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
