Liverpool John Moores University is part of the Tennis Foundation’s University Tennis Coordinator programme. Now in its second year, tennis has been a key focal point for being an all-inclusive student sport. In the last year the university has established a programme of activities including opportunities to learn the game by qualified coaches, tennis based fitness sessions, and monthly competition opportunities for those not involved in BUCS teams. So far this year over 500 students have engaged in tennis, either in taster sessions or through activities on the weekly programme. To further enhance the impact of tennis within the university, and aid its future development, the opportunity has now arisen to appoint a University Tennis Ambassador.
Based alongside the University Tennis Coordinator, the Tennis Foundation requires a hardworking and committed individual to become the Liverpool John Moores University Tennis Ambassador.
It is a voluntary opportunity that is supported with a grant fund to pay the successful candidate £500, to cover attendance on a LTA Level 2 tennis qualification, attendance to a national university tennis conference, and personal travel expenses.
The role holder will assist in the development and delivery of University tennis at the university in the following key areas:
In addition you will also provide general support to the University Tennis Coordinator on any related projects that are completed in connection with The Lawn Tennis Association or Tennis Foundation.
