Update on UCU Strike Action
The University and College Union (UCU) announced recently that strike action will take place at 61 universities, in the coming weeks. This action was announced after talks with the employers' representative, Universities UK (UUK), regarding planned pension scheme changes ended without agreement.
LJMU UCU members did not vote for strike action and therefore there are no planned strike days at LJMU. However we are aware that some LJMU students have courses in conjunction with the University of Liverpool who will be taking part in the strike action.
If you are a student who may be affected by this, and have concerns about how this might impact on your course, your Students’ Union is here to offer advice.
