We're proud to be supporting a petition to make student loan payments monthly, and not termly. This allows students to better manage their finances and not have to budget for a considerable amount of time; which, in the case of LJMU students, is sometimes four months.

The petition calls for the Student loans Company, which is due to update its IT systems in 2015/16 to change the payment process accordingly.

NUS' "Pound in your Pocket" campaign is proud to support the petition. The NUS report found that "Students… want more cash support such as loans, grants and bursaries, with… payments, either weekly or monthly depending on the level of study"
