 This week I at the pleasure of attending a joint collaboration between The Feminist Society and Brook

 

Brook's aim is raise awareness of female anatomy and the importance of talking about female intimate health. They offer some amazing services 

  • Free, confidential clinical sexual health and wellbeing services 
  • Online help and advice
  • For young people under 25 - don't worry if are over 25 you can still receive free help and advice through the NHS, your nearest Centre is Abacus.

Brook is located right here in the city Centre on London Road 

 

They offer a great service, with even the option to point to what service you want if you don't want other people to over hear. For all Brook services info visit their website

What do you call your Vulva?

The feminist were really empowering answer this question. There were some great answers, such as Flower, Vagina and even The Governor.

Sex Bingo

Everyone gave great ideas, some people could even answer X, Y and Z - for 

I learnt some great things at this session. So many facts that I didn't know! 

  1. People with penis' now get the HPV vaccine 
  2. Children as young as 4 receive sex education to reduce child exploitation
  3. 3/4 women get thrush

Have you been test for Chlamydia? - visit Brook if you need a test

1/10 people have Chlamydia 

1/9 people in Liverpool have Chlamydia

1/8 people have Chlamydia in the Wirral 

Bacterial Vaginosis v Thrush 

These are 2 different things but both very common. Check out the videos on BV and Thrush, as these give loads of info.
